Dr. Marija Mirkovic


Dr. Marija Mirković, Research Associate at the Laboratory for Radioisotopes at VINS.

She obtained a PhD in Technical Sciences, The Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, and Pharmacy specialist in Industrial Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade. She is the manufacturing manager at the Laboratory for Radioisotopes (Production of radiopharmaceuticals such as 99Mo/99mTc generator, radiopharmaceutical kits, radiopharmaceuticals based on 131I, 90Y, and 177Lu – in accordance with EU cGMP), Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences (since 2016). She has great research experience in different fields: radiopharmacy, organic chemistry, coordination chemistry, and nanotechnology. The special contribution of Dr. Marija Mirković and the specificity of her scientific research work is reflected in the optimization of the conditions for labeling nanomaterials and organic ligands with appropriate radionuclides for potential application in nuclear medicine and oncology. She is PI of the bilateral project of Serbia and Germany (2020-2021), as well as a multilateral project in the Danube region (2020-2021). She had participated in the FP7 project, COST actions, bilateral, and national projects. She is author and co-author of 17 peer-reviewed articles (h-index = 7, number of citations = 371).
